Apps are the new media frontier!
There's an app for almost anything, including many books, authors, and reading activities. New apps are being created all the time, so this list is definitely not comprehensive.
All apps can be found for both Apple and Android devices unless otherwise noted. All apps are free unless a cost is listed.

Warning: Be sure to read the reviews for an app before you download or purchase. All apps are not created equal, so read carefully so you know what you're getting.

Recommended Apps

Vine - Vine is a mobile app owned by Twitter that enables its users to create and post short looping video clips. Video clips created with Vine have a maximum clip length of seven seconds and can be shared to Vine's social network, or to other services such as Twitter. You can download Vine as an app for both Apple and Android devices.

To search Vine via the web, go to Vineos: http://www.vineos.co/
When searching remember you're searching using #hashtags, not subject headings, book titles or author names. So, rather than searching "City of Bones," you'll want to search "cityofbones."
